Anderson, William Ronald “Ron”

William Ronald Anderson “Ron” aged 78, passed away peacefully July 1st, 2022, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Ron was born April 16, 1944, in Orillia, Ontario and grew up in Windsor. Ron spent the majority of his career teaching science in Sarnia at Central Collegiate and then St. Clair Secondary School. In retirement, Ron developed an avid interest in family history and genealogy. He amassed a large database of family trees and historical documents. Ron was a man of many talents and always willing to go above and beyond when helping family and friends. He spent many hours building fireplaces, gardens and even a house, for others. He is survived by his two children Christine Fleming nee Anderson (Jim Fleming) Toronto, ON and Robert Anderson (Wendi Anderson nee Van Natter) Corunna, ON. And his grandchildren Drew Anderson (Zoe Queffelec) Thunder Bay, ON and Benjamin Anderson Corunna, ON. The family would like to thank all of the health professionals who have helped Ron through his many health challenges of the past several years. In particular, Ron wanted to thank the staff of the Bluewater Health Sarnia Dialysis Team. He spoke often and highly of the friends that he made there. Cremation has taken place. A small family gathering will be scheduled at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Ron’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.

My sincerest condolences. Mr. Anderson taught me several science classes at St. Clair Secondary School in the 80's and early 90's. He was my favourite teacher. Rest in peace Mr. Anderson.

Sherry Hagemeier (nee Robertson)

I am very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I met Ron on the Dialysis Floor when I accompanied my husband Bob Cole. I had many wonderful conversations with Ron. He was the teacher and I was his new student. I appreciated his life perspective. I'm sure you have many memories to keep your hearts warm and smiling during this difficult time. With Sincere Sympathy,

Betty Cole
